Available now on 12″ vinyl. “This project is all about my mood when playing in warehouses and unusual venues. This set of tracks were made to hit these type of places and events. My whole vibe on these tracks is “Strictly Underground Dirty Moody House Rhythms” lots of bass > grooves > melodies > and hard hittin’ Sneak Beats. This is music for real DJs, the ones that can walk into a party no matter where and make that place bounce!” – DJ Sneak

As another Canadian winter draws to a close, Sneak emerges with the first fruits of a hard few months of studio time. The first of many new releases see’s him team up with fellow house legends Murk (Oscar G and Ralph Falcon) for ‘To The Bassline’. One of those tracks that you won’t get out of your head once you’ve heard it, it has been picking up plays from Busy P, ÂME, Hot Chip, Kasper Bjørke, Tensnake, Jacques Renault, Agoria, AndHim and many more.
Two new pieces of music were releases this month, and they both absolute bangers! – ‘Battle’s Over’ gets included on the Watergate X release, and Sneak’ mix of Todd Edwards ‘Save My Life’ gets a rewind on i Records.
September was a month dominated by remixes and re-issues of classic Sneak with some previously hard to find gems making it to digital or getting a vinyl re-press.
DJ Sneak has managed to achieve an EP with dizzying effects. After listening you find yourself breathing a huge sigh of contentment, and then go on to listen again and again. Simply breathtaking.
Global Groove Network caught up with Sneak as part of their documentary series to talk about his first experiences with house and the days when vinyl was king…
Review from Juno Download: “Not much has changed in DJ Sneak’s inimitable world since he emerged in the mid-90s. He still has a love of sampling catchy piano solos – audible on “Evil Women” – and as most of the tracks on Necessary Evils demonstrate, he does filtered disco house better than anyone else. However, […]
Long time friend of Yousef and his Circus Events, DJ SNEAK steps up on Circus Recordings with two classic offerings. “COMING WITH DA SOUNDS” sees Puerto Rico’s finest let rip – clattering techno beats with an authentic trademark vibe power towards a (dare we say) 1991 rave break down. On the flip Sneak slow’s the pace to 120bpm with “TIME TRAVEL” – a track so close to hiss heart he wouldn’t let anyone remix it. The groove is relentless and character warm, just like the great man himself.
Guesthouse Music & DJ Sneak team up to bring you another hard hitting EP chalked full of bad ass bass-lines, nasty grooves and shuffling beats for tha feets. Don’t miss this EP from a true legend of House Music on one of the best underground labels in the biz. Support from Derrick Carter, Booker T, Ghosts Of Venice and more…
